Hale o Aheahe
(House of Gentle Breezes)
Vacation Rental
in beautiful Leilani Estates, Hawaii

Living Room

This beautiful one bedroom home lies in the heart of the tropical district of Puna on the Big Island of Hawaii.  Situated in Leilani Estates, one of the more upscale communities in the area, this home features an entire acre of land on which to relax, unwind and get away from it all.  Smell the plumeria, gaze upon the hundreds of wild orchids surrounding the property, and let the tropical birds welcome you with their song.

Amenities:

The home has the capability to sleep six, if you count the ultra-modern inflatable bed that actually comes with its own frame and sits off the floor like a regular full-sized bed.  There's a king sized bed in the bedroom and a full sized futon couch in the living room.

Our kitchen boasts a very large refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, rice cooker, crock pot, blender, plenty of cooking implements and dishware.

If you're staying awhile, feel free to use the washer and dryer.  The home also boasts dozens of drawers in both the bedroom and living room in which to unpack your things.

We are most pleased to feature an advanced ultra-violet water filtration system for your added peace of mind.  *

Then, when you're good and rested, check out the wonderful nearby places to visit.  Start with Old Pahoa Town, with 11 multi-national restaurants to choose from and an extremely well stocked Natural Foods store.  Expand to the surrounding Puna district and visit the world famous Kapoho snorkeling ponds, the Red Road to Kalapana and its natural hot ponds (fed by the island's volcanic activity), and Lava Tree State park.

Within an hour or so you could be in lovely Volcano, situated near the rim of the Kilauea Crater and on your way to viewing the ongoing lava activity in Volcano National Park (ongoing for 20+ years!).

If you ever feel the need to leave the Puna district (why leave paradise?), there's plenty more to see.  Waimea town, social center of the famous Parker Ranch, Kailua-Kona and it's shopping meccas, Kawi and gorgeous scenery, arts & crafts that it has to offer.  Waterfalls, helicopter rides, para-sailing, hiking, kayaking, Hamakua Coast....

* Most of the homes in this part of the island are on catchment, which means we live off the bounties of the area's generous rainfall.  All water is filtered twice (10 micron is the smallest filter), and then passes through a UV light system. The water is safe to drink. Some prefer the taste of water filtered through an even smaller micron filter. There is a PUR water filter available for this purpose.
